May brought a ton of rain to Northern Virginia and the DC area, but even so, it was warmer, so we spent a lot of time outside. And we learned that the best time for digging for worms is right after the rain.
During the spring, I often find myself wondering how we survive all winter with kids in the house. I'm so grateful for the hours of entertainment that dirt and bugs, water hoses and plastic pools, and bicycles and scooters bring.
This May was especially sweet as we had grandparents visiting over Mother's Day weekend. We went to several Nationals games in D.C. and explored Clemyjontri Park in Alexandria and Rocky Run Park in Arlington (both continue to be favorites for both boys). I found myself picking up my camera more than I have in months, so I had too many May favorites to choose from.
